Is distilled water dangerous?

Many sources state that distilled water should be used sparingly. The distillate is very effectively used for medical purposes. However, there is an opinion that its daily use can lead to leaching of useful trace elements - potassium, calcium and magnesium. They also say that the passion for distilled water can affect the condition of the heart and blood vessels due to the lack of useful minerals in it. 

However, do not panic, because the leaching of useful substances from the body is more characteristic of carbonated drinks, sugar and salt, and not distilled water. Moreover, it is hardly possible to drink so much distillate that it has a negative effect on health. 

Of course, distilled water does not contain any trace elements: both harmful and beneficial. But due to its composition, it is easily absorbed by the body and participates in metabolic processes.
