Yaounde Stadium in Cameroon won the Gold Award for Excellent Construction of Space Structure. The steel structure of this project is a heterogeneous roof system composed of a circular curved surface welded spherical joint reticulated shell and a radial steel pipe truss in the middle. The whole structure is supported by 25 anti-seismic spherical joint bearings. The reticulated shell grid is an approximate square quadrangular pyramidal reticulated shell. The outer cantilever is about 10.73m, and the thickness of the reticulated shell is 2.5m. The joints are intersecting welded steel pipes, the maximum span of the intermediate truss is 59.024m, the maximum height difference is 11.289m, the thickness of the truss is 3m, the weight of the steel structure is 934.9t, and the coverage area is 7500m2.

The grid form of the surrounding annular reticulated shell is square pyramid , the nodes are welded hollow spheres, the outer ring cantilever is 10.73 meters, and the thickness of the reticulated shell is 2.5 meters. The central part is radially arranged in a space frame system consisting of main trusses and circumferential secondary trusses. The nodes are intersecting joints of steel pipes. The maximum span of the longitudinal main truss is 59.4 meters, and the height of the truss is 3 meters.
