Night lighting is a small, low-power electric light that stays comfortable and safe at night. They provide enough light to look at the outlines of objects in the room, but they are dim enough to bother your sleep. Night lights are often used to comfort children who are afraid of darkness. They can also be used in corridors and bathrooms so that people can navigate at night. LED Night Light Factory     introduces the working principle of three kinds of small night lights.

Simple night lights
The simple night light is a small plug-in device with an automatic low watt incandescent bulb and mechanical switch. The switch works like any wall switch and is connected to the wires that complete the circuit. It turns the lights on and off.

Automatic night light
Many modern night lights are designed to automatically turn on when it is dark and automatically turn off when the lights are on again. They use a detector called a CDs unit. The CD unit is a resistor called a photoresistor. The resistor is resistant to current. Photoresistors differ from other resistors in that they change when illuminated by light. When the light hits the CD unit, it reduces the resistance. The night light has a detector circuit that automatically turns on the light when the resistance reaches a certain level. High resistance means there is no light on the CD unit, so the night light will illuminate.

Efficiency night light
Incandescent bulbs are very inefficient. Since they work by heating wires, most of the electrical energy they use is converted to heat rather than light. Some modern night lights use LEDs or LEDs instead. In LEDs, electrons are forced to skip gaps between two different materials. When electrons skip the gap, they release a little energy in the form of photons. LEDs generate very little heat, which means they waste little energy.
